Grandmother Departure Aftermath- 'Garunpuran Vaachan'

So, finally she has left us. :-( We have been left bereft of the her humour, her blessings and her caretakings.
As per the ritual, our purohit has started the reading of the 'Garun Puran' for 13 days starting from today. I dont understand what the folks call as good work or 'punya' nor have i cared upto now. But as the purohit reads aloud the verses and explains them, it seems I fall in the worst category of the evil doer or 'Papi' as we call it. ;-) Thinking good of mankind is the only good deed I know of and I try 2 do the same. So, even now i wont care what his verses make of me. ;-) If these rituals make my parents contented, let it be this way. But, in case of my demise, i wont recommend any of these.

My moribund Hajurama

With all the treatment done, with all the professsionals consulted and with all the rays of hope opaqued, my dear Hajurama lays moribund in her deathbed. Now she wont nag over clothes we cover her up, she wont nag over food that we give her, she wont complain the chill in her room. She seems to have lost all her worldly pleasures and dreads. Now she has no friends and no foes left. She is about to begin her infinite journey and we can just pray that its oneset be as free of pain as possible. I shall miss u hajurama for ever.
